TRAILER FREIGHT INTERNATIONAL was established in 1983 originally named
TRAILER FREIGHT MIDLANDS ltd with 2 employees operating from a 5000 sqs.ft
warehouse and using sub-contractors for transport services
Our 1985 Expansion
The business grew steadily over the next 2 years enabling the company to employ an additional 5 staff members and now operating our own transport and in 1985 moved to a new 10,000 sq.ft warehouse
Going International (1990)
In 1990 trailer freight midlands as it was still called were able to start offering worldwide international forwarding services via air road and sea freight and again being vin a position to extend the current staff to 10.
Rebrand To Trailer Freight International (1995)
1995 saw the next big change trailer freight midlands became trailer freight
international to reflect the integrated nature and direction of the business and
formed partnerships with several European operators.
Opening A Belfast Office
(2000)
The start of the millennium and the start of another new exciting first for trailer freight international when we opened our office in Belfast Northern Ireland this was to enable better, quicker and more customer focused service to our customer base throughout both southern and Northern Ireland.
Further Expansion (2007)
The continued growth in both operations and staffing level enabled trailer freight to take over an additional 10,000 sq.ft warehouse space to offer much better storage, increase our speed and productivity when it came to order picking and stock control for our new established clients … and at the end of 2007 trailer freight international were now employing 15 full time members of staff.

Joining The EDS Family (2014-2015)
The end of 2014 saw a massive shift in the direction of TRAILER FREIGHT INTERNATIONAL ltd when EXPRESS DISTRIBUTION SERVICES ( EDS) based in Northern Ireland acquired TRIALER FREIGHT INTERNATIONAL and at the start of 2015 Trailer freight international officially became part of the EDS family.
With a state-of-the-art warehouse and distribution centre and an operating fleet of 60 trucks this was a very exciting time for Trailer freight international and the growth continues to this day.
Moving Home (2021)
In February 2021 Trailer freight international relocated from our home of 38 years to our new warehouse and brand-new office facilities to our new home at Walsall enterprise park in Walsall to continue with the growth of the company, with upgrades to fleet and the and new technology in vehicle tracking, customer portals and state of the art traffic management systems, all put in place ready for trailer freight to announcement…
Trailer freight international delighted to announce in September 2021 we have become a shareholder member of pallet-track offering our services and expertise into the UK next day palletised freight distribution services and are very proud to have done so.
